Our Product Series explained
Over the years many specific customer requirements were addressed and incorporated in the design and special technology was developed to make the process robust and repeatable. This has led to configurations incorporation specific or universal features for small and very large products.
We have six product series which all share the same Lead principles for each machine:
A robust, easy to operate and maintain DLE machine which engraves at high speeds with
high quality at a low cost of ownership. The six series are:
- Flexostar PlateMaster series
- Flexostar IMAGE series
- Flexostar PrintMaster series
- Flexostar ScreenMaster series
- Flexostar Myriad series.
- Flexostar PrintMaster Specials series.
Flexostar PlateMaster (-TwinFlex)
In February 2017 we have introduced the PlateMaster after numerous requests from the market to come up with a compact DLE system purely for black EPDM plates. The Flexostar PlateMaster is a compact DLE system equipped with a 600Watt YAG Fiber laser. The PlateMaster comes in two versions:
1. Flexo version which is equipped with a fixed clamp vacuum drum (850mm Length / 1250mm Repeat) for black EPDM plates.
2. Dry Offset version which is equipped with a fixed Magnetic drum (850mm Length / TBD mm Repeat) for metal backed black EPDM plates.
For higher engraving speeds the PlateMaster can also be equipped with two YAG Fiber lasers (TwinFlex) with a total power of 1200 Watt. HD flexo capability up to 80 lines/cm and 2000 dots/cm in addition to existing DLE or photopolymer services. The PlateMaster is available for a price lower than CDI. The PlateMaster TwinFlex is equipped with two YAG Fiber lasers which operate simultaneously which results in High Resolution engravings at high speeds. (see PlateMaster (TwinFlex) Tab on this site)
Flexostar IMAGE (-TwinFlex)
Since the introduction of the Mini several years ago, generations have progressed to the Image 1.3 Y. A 1300mm Flexo DLE engraving solution based on YAG fiber lasers with a growth concept where users can start from 200W laser power just to create HD flexo capability up to 80 lines/cm and 2000 dots/cm in addition to existing DLE or photopolymer services. This very system allows upgrading of laser power to 600W. These inexpensive system configurations, The IMAGE TwinFlex is equipped with two YAG Fiber lasers which operate simultaneously which results in High Resolution engravings at high speeds. Flexostar PrintMaster (-HYBRID , -TwinFlex or TriFlex)
Based on the Robust flexible platform, engraving is available from 1 mm to 7000mm and the units can be equipment with both CO2 and/or YAG and work in single and hybrid mode. The latter is CO2 + YAG-fiber laser together which gives both higher speed and higher (YAG) resolution at the same time. The TwinFlex variant uses two YAG lasers which operate simultaneously which results in High Resolution engravings at high speeds. TriFlex has three (YAG-) lasers which can engrave up to 1.4m2/hr (Flexostar PrintMaster HYBRID 1800W)
Anilox machines have been built by Lead since 2001 and as of 2015 Lead supplies them globally. Systems are capable of all existing formats and features required for today ceramic Anilox production. Engraving length is available from 1700 to 7000 mm with either with a laser installed for screens from 1 line/cm to 700 lines/cm. Stable workhorses that easily engrave 70 hours or more continuously. Flexostar PrintMaster Myriad
For specific customers in closed diverse markets Lead built a universal machine that can do everything; Flexo, Embossing, Anilox and other application engravings from 2100 to 4500mm. (see Myriad Tab on this site)
Flexostar PrintMaster Specials: Embossing
Based on the Flexostar Printmaster Lead build DLE engravers for embossing from 1700 mm to 4500mm and roller weights of 4000 kg en large diameters equipped mostly with CO2 lasers.
